Seven Day Summer

A weekly plan in the summer is great. It takes guess work out of the fashion equation. Once a week, we review. Then we build a little story board for you.
The Basics. A couple pair jeans and t shirts. For summer I like expression t shirt with basic jeans. Capri shorts for bbq nights and shorts that go from day to night is fashion essential. Mix it up with shoes and accessories for a pop of personality. So it just a pair of denim? No. It is a great moment with imagination. How many pairs? Two to three.
Shorts. We cannot get through the topic of summer for a seven day without shorts. Khaki shorts go the mile. It is casual for the middle day for family for fun. Then it can be dressed up with shoe and a basic white t shirt. Shorts shorts, it depends. A campy look in day and a strapping heel changes it up. Watch the length because it can get less classy than fashion. Three to five will do.
So it is the summer dress. It is normally easy. Easy is great way to describe summer. So your fashion should reflect it. The Maxi dress is one option for the easy day in the park. A cute white dress is like the little black dress. It travels well. Then there a basic shift dress which goes from office to colt ail
Three to five dress goes from June to August.
Swimsuit. A topic most of us avoid. Find a great suit for you. You need only two.
Accessories. It is summer. So you should have fun. Headbands for coffee. Scarves add a brightness of print or color. Great purses and totes adds a bit of zip.
Shoes. We are not stepping into summer without shoes. A wedge is fun. A sneaker adds personality. A slip on is dependable. Basic pumps takes you into the next season.
Welcome to the summer. It only takes a few pieces.

Lingerie Look

It is spring. The romance of spring has taken over the runway. We have silk,satin,and lace. Lingerie is now the day time fashion trend. From the office to the bar, there are many to get the look.
The slip dress. I have personally walk out the door with a pair of heels wearing a slip dress. Day time living, we can slip on a light sweather over it for lunch. Then we pair it with heels and a braclet for night. A conservative length,knee length, with a fitted jacket and sensible heels is not impossible look for the office.
The corset. Personally, I love corset looks. A corset,a pair jeans, and pumps equal to a great party look. A corset with a tea length skirt is a romantic sweet look with pearls and beads. Once again a jacket comes to a rescue to calmn down the boldness of it during the day.
The bra. So who is wearing a bra? A bra is quite cute with tailored pants. A bra with a jacket is fun daytime weekend look. A bra with a pleated skirt with Mary Jane heels is a sweet moment. A jacket, a bra, and belt, over the jacket, a glimpse of the bra with jeans is another great after five on a Friday fashion.

Easter Fashion

It is Easter weekend. This year we haves several  great fashion looks. From structured dress suits to patterned lace, enjoy the looks.
The dress suit. The dress suit goes from morning to evening with a shoe change. In the morning the pink suit has a formal option for brunch or morning service. A lace patterned shoe or a scrappy shoe takes you into the evening hours of dinner. From pink to lillac,the color pattern reflects the spring time colors.Yellow, a great color but I would pass on it this year.
Florals. Florals  show up during this weekend. A pleated floral skirt with a basic T is a great all day look. Hair up for the early hours, and then a  loose pony tail for the later hours. For more casual events, a floral short is also another way to go. I would keep the accessories very simple. A green shoe is more fashion forward.
Denim. I like to have a casual version for Easter. So a simple red or  hot pink shirt with dark jeans is  not the end of the world for a park event. A 90s denim jumper with floral shoes is another option.A denim romper with formal tights is youthful for the whole day. For those who are not that brave , a denim dress with solid colored shoes with floral accessories is a solid step for this holiday.
Gold. We move up. From gold Easter eggs to solid shoes, celebrate this special holiday with this special color. Flat gold shoes with white slacks and pink blouse goes well for each place. Gold nails with a purple or pink dress is quite regal for a late evening? Tea length blue dress travels well all day.

Prom Fashion

Normally I am late to the party. The week when the high school students go the prom is when I realize it is prom time. This time I tried to pay ateention. I, personally, like a classic look with pull back hair and satin shoes. This is 2016 not 1950. So we have to modernize the view of the prom.

Art Day. Painted fabrics or printed painted fabric is a different look. I would keep the shoes in a solid color. The accessories I would take a minimum point of view. Bold prints for a bolder personality who has the confidence to carry the look. This is not the night for a complete fashion personality change.

Retro. Romantic fabrics in lace was all over the fashion world. 1980s meet the 1950s was also popular in the fashion articles. From the web to a great thrift shop it is the way to go. A great dress,textured purse with a pump, you head out of the door with a unique look.

Hollywood. Basic strong fashion has been the word. Solid colors with a great shoe. Architecture structure with simple accessories is another way the party scene and the red carpet traveled. Online or rent the runway are two sources. From an introverted personality to a more outgoing one,there is a look for everyone.

For Less. It happens. The Diva always find a way. Forever 21 has great dress options you can dress up with a great shoe. Macy's is another option. Target,online, has options under $50.

A great fashion look. Plan,prepare, and go. Then you should go for it.

Did Winter Become Spring?

Peal off a layer of clothing.It is here for some of us. Welcome to spring.
Winter clothing converts to spring. The t shirts,denim,skirts,and business suit are all lighten up with a ..sweather. Then we add pink.liliac,green, and yellow to  the color closet. The big chunky purse becomes a midsize one. A neutral base of eye makeup with the lip stick.
The dress is lace or floral. It is a girly dress season. A cute purse, and you are out the door in your spring color pumps.
The shoe theme for spring is pretty simple. A spring colored pump is great for work and lunch. A flat takes you far for the outside activities. Then there is flat but fun sneaker gives a spring twist.
The hair is pretty basic. The 90s is back. So an European coporate touch for hair is theme. As some of you know the 1990s went in a lot of directions from 1960s retro to 1980s punk. 1970s is my favorite theme. So basic and natural hair with simple cut takes you into the season.

So girly, natural, and coporate is the direction with a touch if party scene.

Oscars Wedding Season

Spring is here. It is here with great fashions. The inspiration of the 1990s is here with the party vibe of music. So it makes for a great Moment. Last week we saw superb fashion moments which can easily be translated to a bride's moment from the Oscar's.

Sequins. In short dresses for the bridesmaids for a night party wedding. A sequin dress with matching heels on the bride with a ponytail. The spotlight is shared with your supporting cast.

Delicate in white. Off the shoulder romantic fabrics gave a fairy tale moment. We use shorts and top for the summer day on the beach,at the lake,or in the backyard. The bride becomes the star of her moment with a neutral face.

Lady GaGa. Her outfit needed its own section. It was a strong structured statement for The Moment. Simplified to a pants suit with a simple bob hair cut as a wedding guest you share the day as the audience. A great metallic strapped heel should be considered with satin purse.

Grammy Inspiration

Last week was the biggest music night. It was the Grammy's. Many sat at home in jeans and t shirt viewing the moment. I, did not. A pair of heels with a touch of sparkles and I enjoyed a bit of night. The next day there is inspiration from the red carpet. This year was old school with sequins,poodles, and tux looks. The economy is bad,the elections are playing, and the world is serious. The living room becomes the great escape with these great fashion looks.
Cocktails,anyone? Sure,I will have two. A blue sequin dress is shorten for a great date night. With ease and grace the fashion down the red carpet. In your space there is wine,champagne,food, the night is transformed with jazz meets classic rock. Candles complete the moment as this outfit rocks on.
Movie? Pass the popcorn. In the closet,what do I wear. Jeans with dressy shirt with fun high high red heels. Then there is raisin,candy,Carmel popcorn with rock n roll style cupcakes. A comedy or fun family movie. We have something great.
Shall we dance? It is black with great gold leather heels. Mini adult flavor pizza for the sophiscated with a beer champagne bar. Mini brownies go the mile for 25 guests.
